| LED Light Bulb - Direct Replacements | No Ballast Required for the T8 LED Lamps |
LED light bulbs are often manufactured in odd shapes. Especially when it comes to what we would consider the standard shape (A) for incandescent 60 watt bulbs.
Diogen LED light bulbs are manufactured with the latest technology and are direct replacements for 40 watt and 60 watt incandescent bulbs.
Our state-of-the-art LED light bulbs are rated for 50,000 hours and have a two year warranty. Because they are mercury-free unlike CFL products, disposal or breakage is not a problem.
The LED technology means no glass bulbs to break or filaments to burn out. This is the best of "Going Green" and "Energy Savings" and a great value. These lamps are cool to the touch and have no moving parts.
Significant energy saving rebates may be available from your local utility company. |
Direct Replacement |
A Word Of Caution. There are manufactures that put a minature fan inside there LED light bulbs to assist in cooling. This type of bulb is not desirable as the cooling fans are failing and the result is the electronic components then fail. If the LED driver and the LED light source were matched properly and made with state of the art materials there would be no need for a cooling fan.

L.E.D. Light Bulbs Make A Difference
By changing one light bulb in your home you could help to save the environment. Regular light bulbs put carbon dioxide, sulfur oxide and nuclear waste into the landfills and atmosphere. By changing your light bulbs to low energy L.E.D. home lighting, one single bulb keeps one half ton of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere through its life cycle. It is possible that if every house in the United State switched to L.E.D. lights, 90 current power plants could retire.
Another environmental benefit of L.E.D. lighting is the directionality of the light. Combating light pollution has become a primary mission for many organizations such as the International Dark Sky Association (IDA). L.E.D.'s emit light patterns directly toward the desired illumination target and not into the sky. Furthermore, directionality aids in energy savings because energy isn't being used to emit light beams that are trapped inside the fixture, thereby wasting lumens that are produced.
There are many other incredible benefits to L.E.D. lighting technologies. These benefits are achievable over the next 10 years by aggressively developing and deploying L.E.D. technology.
L.E.D.'s directly fight these wastes: 21% of all energy (oil, gas, coal, nuclear) goes to lighting. 30% the largest single category, of all electricity is consumed by lighting. 7% of the 463 tons of mercury used annually or 32 tons is used to make high efficiency fluorescent lighting.
Using L.E.D.'s produces environmentally sound benefits: Reduction of $125 billion spending on electricity over the period 2005-2025. 50% reduction in electricity use for lighting. 30% reduction in total electricity production, a savings of 3.5 quadrillion BTUs with elimination of approximately 115 million metric tons of carbon emissions annually.
No hazardous waste - L.E.D.s are made from non-toxic materials, unlike fluorescent tubes and HID lamps. There is no mercury in the L.E.D. source so the pollution danger is inexistent. Besides, L.E.D.s are recyclable.
Cool to the touch - With virtually no heat emission in the light beam, L.E.D.s are perfect for applications where incandescent bulbs may constitute a safety hazard or may just damage sensitive materials (food for instance). L.E.D.s provide cool and safe-to-touch illumination fixtures.
No ultra-violet emissions - L.E.D's contain no ultraviolet light. The ultraviolet spectrum can damage materials, cause color changes and harm living organisms in many ways. L.E.D. technology has eliminated the harmful components from the light sources. In museums and other applications where UV may cause a lot of damage, L.E.D.s are the lights saving the day.
Low voltage - L.E.D.'s emit light using semiconductor material instead of a filament or neon gas. Being semiconductor based they use safe and efficient low voltage power sources or even batteries so there is no risk of shock.
