LED Signs Controlled by TCP/IP

Use a Intranet Connection to control your LED Signs

Yes you can control your LED Signs over an Intranet using our LED Signs TCP/IP device.

Here is one example for TCP/IP controlled Signage. There is a school looking for 100pcs of LED Programmable Display Signs. Those signs are required to have messages programmed by one computer / a central computer from administration. Each unit is connected with the Ethernet cable to the server, and the administration programs messages and send it via TCP/IP. All signs get the messages instead of programming one at the time.

Please Note: The RS232 cable comes with our sign package and the Ethernet cable needs to be purchased locally.

Please Note: Does not work with the Promo Series LED signs.

Here are the steps for the connection of a TCP/IP device and your LED sign.

  1. Fix the TCP/IP device on the back of LED sign by using of 2-sided double stick tape.
  2. Connect the Cat5 cable to the TCP/IP device, through local intranet.
  3. Connect one end of RS232 cable to the TCP/IP device, and another end to the RJ45 of the LED sign.
  4. Connect the Power plugs to TCP/IP device and LED sign, respectively.
  5. Power on the adaptors of TCP/IP device and LED sign, respectively.
  6. LED Sign will be running automatically.
  7. Repeat the steps 1-6 to connect more LED signs, up to 250pcs in maximum, into the local intranet.
  8. Connect your PC into the intranet as well, finally, the connections of LED signs, TCP/IP devices and computer will be similar to the following picture:

Software Operation

1) Input your messages

2) Choose TCP/IP to upload your new messages
  • Input the IP address of LED sign
  • Click SEND to upload your new messages
  • You will see the LED screen is displaying new messages.
