Hello, my name is Steven Border.

                                                                                                                          I have been in the lighting business since 1980 and with Budget Lighting, Inc. since 1992. I started with Budget Lighting as a sales person and called on local and national commercial accounts in Iowa.

Back in 1992 the web was used by few people as it was still not developed to the point of being practical for most.  In 1996 we launched the first Budget Lighting web site. At that time we were only one of three lighting companies on the web.

I’m also an avid woodworker. My latest project was this cradle for my first grandchild, due any day now.  (05/12/07)

The cradle was made from rough sawed walnut lumber.  Woodworking is a great hobby and my father and grandfather are to be given credit for my involvement.

Just as in woodworking the web requires that you be precise and patient otherwise you end up with a mess.  That is exactly why I enjoy web development and woodworking, both require thought and planning and obtaining the desired result is very rewarding.
